Photoshop (and Lightroom?) for the iPad is Coming

It’s not ready yet, but Adobe is working on a version of Photoshop for the iPad. Yesterday Adobe demonstrated a couple broad possibilities for how the app might work on the iPad or other tablet devices.

I’m sure Adobe will come up with something interesting… Photoshop doesn’t sound as intriguing to me as the possibility of a version of Lightroom. One of the pain points of mobile photo work for me is that when I return to my primary computer I need to import to Lightroom and deal with things like metadata. If I was able to edit and catalog on the fly and then sync those updates with my primary Lightroom catalog, that would make a mobile workflow much more efficient.

What do you think? What possibilities are in store for Photoshop or Lightroom on the iPad?
