I know I’m not the only photographer coming to BlogWorld (at least I hope I’m not, or my session on Friday morning with Kris Krug might be a bit empty). And when I say photographer I mean anyone interested in photography, whether you’re a professional or hobbyist.
Let’s have a photowalk! A photowalk is simply an informal gathering of photographers, starting from a designated point, to wander a bit and create some images. As a group we’ll take in some of the sights and sounds of the Las Vegas strip and (hopefully) capture some unique photographs.
We’ll gather at 6:00pm on Friday, October 15th, along Las Vegas Blvd. in front of the Luxor Pyramid. There is a tall column directly in front of the pyramid at the sidewalk (in front of the sphinx)… that’s our meeting point. The general plan is that we’ll walk north along the strip towards the Excalibur, New York New York, Monte Carlo, and the new City Center/Aria Complex.
This will be super informal, we’ll create some photos, talk about photography, and allow folks to move at their own pace. My co-presenter Kris Krug will be joining us and it sounds like we should have a good crowd. I figure that starting at 6 should allow us to create pictures for an hour or two and then move onto other activities for the evening.
Feel free to pass the word around; it would be great to see a lot of folks on the photowalk. I look forward to meeting you! If you’d like, leave a comment below with a link to your Flickr or other photos – it’s always cool to check out the work of others.
