I suppose it’s a little goofy to have one of the first posts on my new website be a post telling you to go check out a totally different website, but here we are. You’ll want to go take a look at a new photography questions and answers site – currently found at http://photo.stackexchange.com. The site is in a public beta period.
Using the same backend software as the successful computer programming site Stack Overflow, the new photo site is a resource for photographers to ask questions and receive answers. It’s entirely community-driven… members ask questions and members answer each others’ questions. Over time, members build up reputation points as questions and answers are voted up or down based on the quality of information provided.
I’ve been a member of the site since it entered private beta and so far there are quite a few great questions being asked and answered.
